Inclusion At Gilbertstone
At Gilbertstone inclusion is about supporting all children, as any child can need support at any time during their school career.
The inclusion team work in a flexible and creative way, removing those barriers to learning. We ensure that the inclusion team are part of delivering a relevant & exciting curriculum.
How we do this
So the children achieve their very best the inclusion team work with children in a range of ways, for example, directing a specific intervention such as ‘Wellington Square’ to support reading and comprehension or maybe Springboard to support difficult concepts in maths.
We believe that real inclusion is about making our learners independent thinkers.
Who we are
The inclusion team comprises of qualified teaching assistants supporting the children across school from foundation to year 6.
Inclusion Manager – Tracy Clarke, taking a lead on learning, interventions.
Inclusion Leader - Stacy Gothard (specialist), taking a lead on removing the barriers to learning for children who need specialist support.
