At Gilbertstone Primary School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are fully committed to promoting the welfare and safety of all children and young people in our care. We expect all staff, volunteers, and visitors to share this commitment.

All roles within our school require an enhanced DBS check as part of our safeguarding procedures.

As part of our recruitment process, we conduct an online search of shortlisted candidates. This is part of our due diligence and helps us identify any publicly available information that may be relevant to the role. Any findings will be discussed with the applicant during the interview.

If you are considering applying for a position at Gilbertstone, we encourage you to read the following key policies to understand our expectations and our unwavering commitment to keeping children safe:

  • Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
  • Safer Recruitment Policy
  • Employment of Ex-Offenders Policy

Together, we can ensure that Gilbertstone remains a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for every child.
